Mel joined me early the next morning and we headed off for a boat tour around Manhattan. The weather was moderate when we left, but the clouds came down hard within the first 20 of the tour. I started taking photos with my SLR, but it quickly became evident I'd forgotten my spare batteries back in Minneapolis, so the rest of the trip was done with my digital camera. That's for the best, I suppose, as I never bothered to scan in the few photos I took on film anyway.
