Journal for 8 March 2007

bookmark

I’d been hoping for a relatively quiet week leading up to SXSW, but unfortunately it’s been nothing of the sort. In addition to work being more chaotic than usual, I had a less than stellar cholesterol test (overall cholesterol down, but triglycerides way up) and problems with my braces (one of the anchors snapped off for a second time). On top of all of that, Lisa’s oldest guinea pig, Ling–the so-called “big pig” our home Wi-Fi network is named after–had to be put down Tuesday night. So, it’s been a pretty crappy week.

As far as heading to Austin tomorrow, am I excited? Yes, very. Am I ready? Not in the slightest. I’d hoped to go in rested, but instead I’m going in exhausted.

As with last year, I’ll be using this space to take panel notes over the next few days.  Things should get back to normal next week Wednesday.
