Thank you all for the comments. I'm doing OK... I'm was just worn out and frustrated by the semester. It'll take me a while to get over it.

knowing how much you took on, why would a bad grade equal stupidity. instead maybe it would mean that you are an over-achiever, too ambitious and overburdened.

you made a mistake. next quarter, don't take on so much. or perhaps the lack of sxsw is enough to lessen your load?

you are smart. carlson accepted you? you suck!! i wish that i could have gotten accepted.

take care.
(lisa, if you ever need a daybreak, come and visit the boys and my daughter, she's about 5 months old, not too much younger than mathias)

When you're this incredibly hard on yourself, it makes it that much more difficult on your family. So you made a mistake and took on too much? It's your first year in grad school, it happens. I saw it everyday when I worked with Hamline law students. Everyday. You learn from it and move on. No matter what your final grades turn out to be, just pick yourself up and keep going, you didn't just get into Carlson by luck you know. The accounting class you took was brutal and you couldn't have worked any harder on it than you did. It's time to stop beating yourself up over this semester. I don't think you realize just how amazing you really are.

Mark - I'm sorry this offer is so late but if you ever need some cyber tutoring -- Ted is a great resource and loves to help. So, please, do not hesitate to ask him.

And even for "mathletes" like Ted - b-school accounting is hard. So, do not beat yourself up over it.
