- Minnesota elects Congress’ first muslim. Also, Independence Party candidate Tammy Lee gets 21% of the vote, showing the party still is relevant in Minnesota politics.
- Doyle wins Wisconsin governor’s race
- Minneapolis residents approve ranked choice voting!
- The transportation ammendment passes!
The Bad
- Pawlenty beats Hatch. FUCK. (Statewide ranked choice voting probably would’ve prevented this outcome.)
- Joe Lieberman wins in Connecticut
The Ugly
- Wisconsin passes anti-gay ammendment, and a pro-death-penalty amendment. I weep for my home state.
- Michelle Bachman beats Patty Wetterling.
